2006 Canada 25 Cent Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon First Day Strike

Across Canada, thousands are committed to supporting those who have been touched by breast cancer the best way they know how, from raising money, to researching a cure, to lending personal support to individuals and families as they cope with the disease.
The Royal Canadian Mint pays tribute to their tireless commitment with this very special coin featuring the pink ribbon, symbol of hope. Today, thanks to earlier detection and more effective treatment, more and more Canadians are surviving.
Since its inception in 1986, the Foundation has raised more than $100 million through individual donations, community and corporate partnerships, and national fund-raising activities.
Specially packaged in its limited-edition cover, this beautiful coin was minted on the first day of production November 7/ 2005.
